Anyone know what happened to the claw? Or anything from any tour? Wheres the lemon!?
Well, for most of those stages, the risers, trusses, et al, just become part of some other band's stage. I seem to remember the lemon(s?) being stored in a warehouse somewhere, but most bands never own their stages outright. Prince's Purple Rain stage, for example, became Motley Crue's Dr. Feelgood stage (with different props/decor, obviously) a few years later. Metallica is about the only exception I can think of. They bought their stadium stage in 1992, and just update the video, sound and lights. They also just bought a new arena stage to replace the one they'd been using since 1998.
