Just prior to President Obama's appearance for his election speech, 'Even Better Than The Real Thing' was played.  Odd choice?  You be the judge of that, but the song actually trended on Twitter!  Bono, the President just handed you some relevance.

Perfectly summed up! Since Obama did U2 such a favor of relevance, here's hope that U2 will play again at his re-inauguration! (there is such a thing, right? Happening January 2013?)

Yeah, I stayed up late for his speech because I thought he'd walk out to COBL (as usual). Instead they played Springsteen, then EBTTRT and then "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" by Stevie Wonder when the President came out on stage.

I have it on DVR but no idea how to upload it. He has a standard intro set list http://www.buzzfeed.com/whitneyjefferson/obamas-crowd-pleasing-mix-tape  which EBTTRT is part of. Given how late it was and I am sure they wanted him to go out asap the song playing before Steve Wonder was likely a coincidence. I enjoyed it though.
