Have U2 ever stated their opinions on bootlegs of concert footage?

I know U2/Paul McGuiness have stated their opposition to people getting bootleg versions of tracks without paying for them, but have they ever given an opinion of fans uploading videos from concerts, like on YouTube?

There has been rumor that U2 even own copies of some of their bootlegs - or audience recordings from the 1980's.

Bono allegedly has a copy of the bootlegged Achtung Baby Outtakes.

In some songs, Bono tells the stadium to have the lights closed and everyone to pick up their celphones.  So I guess the band is ok with it.

The band has come out as being pretty cool with boots as long as they are not multi-cam, pro-shot material and they are not sold. Paul McGuine$$ plays the bad cop on this to protect the band's interests and is harsher in his stance. Whether the band is genuine on their stance or just say what they need to in order to appear fan-friendly is a question that can't be answered.
