Kylie Minogue - The Abbey Road Sessions

It's a pretty fascinating orchestral album featuring drastic reinterpretations of some of her biggest hits. A pretty gutsy release for a pop princess.

Is the album cover a picture of Kylie walking across the zebra crossing in gold lame hot pants?

Not quite.

Still nice.

If EPs count, then Lana Del Rey/Paradise. It's good, and has got a few standouts, but not up to the insane standards set by Born to Die.

If they don't, then Kendrick Lamar/Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City. One of only two good rap albums this year. Thankfully, both are incredible, and this may be the most innovative and daring non-Kanye rap album I've ever heard. It's a genius combo of old-school, Dr. Dre-style gangsta rap and experimental, Dark Twisted Fantasy-era Kanye stuff.

Life is Good by Nas or Food & Liquor II by Lupe Fiasco probably.

I'd agree with Nas for sure. Lupe was a massive let down.

Neither! The Heist by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. They're the future of rap. Also from Seattle, which instantly makes them awesome.

You may have heard this one by them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QK8mJJJvaes&feature=related

And if you like your rap a little more serious: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAg3uMlNyHA&feature=related or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlVBg7_08n0

I'm not a massive fan of either Nas or Lupe, sorry.

Dos - Green Day

How is it?

I can express my disappointment in no more than three chords.
