This song is beautiful. I have loved it for years. The whole LP is well worth tracking down and a good addition to the Unforgettable Fire era stuff U2 were doing around then.

U2 have worked with Sinead O'Connor several times.

- with Edge for "Heroine" on the soundtrack for Captive.
- with Bono & Gavin Friday for "You Made Me The Thief of Your Heart" on the soundtrack for In the Name of the Father.
- with U2 for "I'm Not Your Baby" on the soundtrack for The End of Violence.

I've always liked You Made Me the Thief of Your Heart.

Yeah I was pretty pissed off that they put that ambient noise crap as a bonus track on the maxi. I like the actual song a lot.

what?

The instrumental Dub version was a B side to the Please maxi CD wasn't it? (CD singles were called "maxi" CDs for those growing up in the mp3 age).

I think maxi single  was used to describe any CD/LP single that had 3 or more songs on it.  A regular single would have just two songs.

Don't think they will be working together again after Sinead wore that make Bono history t-shirt. But being Irish myself I do love Sinead she has an amazing voice.
