This song is beautiful. I have loved it for years. The whole LP is well worth tracking down and a good addition to the Unforgettable Fire era stuff U2 were doing around then.

The instrumental Dub version was a B side to the Please maxi CD wasn't it? (CD singles were called "maxi" CDs for those growing up in the mp3 age).

maxi? ive never heard that. just "cd single" or "ep". maybe ive heard maxi once before, probably not a "usa thing". trust me, i did grow up in the pre-mp3 era

I think maxi single  was used to describe any CD/LP single that had 3 or more songs on it.  A regular single would have just two songs.

Don't think they will be working together again after Sinead wore that make Bono history t-shirt. But being Irish myself I do love Sinead she has an amazing voice.
