whether you're a fan of any of these people or not, it makes for a pretty interesting triple bill:   You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

yeahhhhh

nah.

 :P

who on that bill is worth seeing i wonder? anywayssssss...... lol

I'd only go to see Fitz and the Tantrums.

Awesome band, has a cool indie soul rock sound to it.

That's a horrible name for a band, i've never heard of them. They the new rage in the indie scene?

if i HAD to pick one post-Busted Stuff album, what should i get?
Stand Up
Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King
Away from the World

or his solo album.......? which i'd forgotten about

Big Whiskey. You might also like Away From the World. It has less fast songs, but Lillywhite produced it.

RateYourMusic.com rated them GruGu, Stand Up, AFTW. I'm mildly interested in reconnecting with DMB's music, as i've discussed with you in the past. I used to have a few of his live albums <Red Rocks, Listener Supported and a bootleg, i still have the Luther College one>

Stand Up is meh. Some of it is great, other parts not so much. It's sort of hip hop influenced too. I love Away From the World. But Big Whiskey is the best new Dave to listen to.

I'm a little more than thrilled that The Wombats announced a San Francisco show before their second Coachella appearance. (They're listed so far down on the Coachella poster that I didn't even realize they were playing until another superfan told me). Even though the San Francisco gig is 430 miles from me, it's cheaper and easier than Coachella even with the flight, hotel, and other expenses. I'll do my best to be first in line for that show!

Who's seen Green Day?  My husband got into them (again) after we saw American Idiot (the musical featuring Green Day's tunes).  I'm trying to figure out if it's worth to see a show.  Pre-sale tickets are $60 or $30 plus fees, in the same pretty crappy medium sized arena where we had Bruce last year.  So what's the verdict on these guys?  Is it a good show or do they just call it in?

Yea one day i may pick up GrooGrux. I'm interested in it, if not for more than a HS nostalgia kick. I was HOOKED on the first 3 <well, i was very disappointed with BTCS dropped my Jr. year> in HS. I must say back then i was very disappointed i'd never seen him in concert.

I've heard it's great. I, surprisingly, never saw them when i was into them, but i saw just about every other pop-punk band from the 99-04 era of my pop-punking days.

I saw Green Day in 2009. Great show. They don't phone it in. Of course, their new albums don't seem to be great (I still haven't listened to them) but they're still very good.

Yea i wouldve seen the Warning tour had i been motivated to see them in the early-00's. Don't really care for the post-Warning albums.

I saw Trampled By Turtles a few weeks ago at the Fillmore in SF. Great show, and a talented group of guys.
And I saw The Hives in a small club in Solana Beach, CA, last week. These guys absolutely blew the roof off!

Sweden rocks in June:
ONSDAG 5/6:
Candlemass

TORSDAG 6/6:
Amon Amarth
Huntress

LÖRDAG 8/6:
Rush
Accept
Kreator
Ihsahn
Tankard

These would be my must-sees, and KI$$ and 5FDP would be my must-misses.

Man, Amon Amarth live in Sweden the week the new album comes out - that's gonna kill, and the crowd should be insane.
