It's from some Cohen tribute album. I bought it back in the mid-90's, Bono's version is pretty bad.

Cales was the original despite what American Idol will tell you. I actually really like this version of Bonos, it uses unique electronic experimentation that was also used on Elvis Ate America. I see both tracks as companion pieces.

I haven't heard Bono's version. 

This song was used in the film Saint Ralf.  It brought tears to my eyes.  I'm not sure who sang it for the movie.

That was more mediocre than embarassing, and the video was kinda cute. Although I don't think Wyclef is cool...
