Hello

I just heard from someone on the internet that he has mercy on a CD. I also read on wiki there was a fan with a cd and on that CD mercy. Now I would like to know ( if it possible to know this) how could ( in 2004) someone get an album with mercy on it. And how many CD's with mercy does exist?

Mercy leaked in 2006. We have a demo of it. In mp3 form, not on cd. The cd he's referring to is Wide Awake In Europe, a 4 track live EP from the 360 tour with a live version of the new version of Mercy.

Bono gave a demo of the song to a fan, or so the story goes. The only officially version that was ever released was the WAIE live version.

He was probably a fan like myself who burned Mercy onto a CD. I remember playing the leaked Mercy for a few friends of mine and they couldn't believe U2 didn't put it on the album. Their best song in the last 15 years in my opinion.

Well, most of HTDAAB has beginnings middles and endings you want to forget so in that regard it's miles ahead of most of what was officially released at the time.
