my interest has remained mainly high since when i got into them during the Pop-era. it flat lined during Vertigo and spiked back up during NLOTH.

I'm actively trying to avoid anything bono related. I still listen out for new tunes though in the vain hope they'll record something good again

I was obsessed with them from about the ages of 13-18, respectively. I saw them live twice during 2009 just before I turned 19 and since then it's decreased dramatically. Hopefully it picks back up whenever we get another album.

I would have to say stayed the same. They're still my favorite band so I don't really find myself liking them any more or less than when I really made them my favorite band. I go through spurts where I listen to their music heavily on a daily basis but I don't really see that as liking them more.

mine increased with the age. The point is that I'm not having much time for being a U2 fan  :(
Now with 30 I've got so many other roles to play, but they'll always have a space in my preferences (as long as they give me what I want  :-* [the new album] )

With albums releases it spikes.

With down periods, it lessens.

I think most people have relatively the same feel here.

It's PLUMMETED since the end of the 360 Tour.  Combined with my new found admiration of Coldplay, I almost forget U2 exists

I'd say so.
It's pretty simple: if an extended period of no news follows a period of relative obsession then interest decreases.

My affection for the band remains unchallenged. But.....i do find the excitement i had for them once upon a time is no longer there. BUT, my interests in pretty much everything else has declined also. Im hoping that in 2013, i can recapture that zest for things again....including u2. BUT, their position at No1 in my musical affection will NEVER be overtaken. That much i do know. 30 yrs and counting
