I've grown tired of Walk On in the past, but this was a refreshing different take. I love the orchestral accompaniment, it fits so well with the song.

I state again, U2 needs to play with a live orchestra in a full concert some day.

They won't even let the keyboard player on stage.

But I think part of a show if not the whole show with a string section might be cool.

Rush are doing it on their current tour and it really kicks butt and adds an extra dimension to the songs on which they are being used, and the string section are totally rocking out and interacting with the band. Not saying it should be an extra tour but yeah I'd like to see U2 change it up. May help them get a spark back.

U2 tried it on one song in Milan on the Vertigo tour.

Bono & Edge also used a string section when they played at the Clinton Foundation show at the Hollywood Bowl last year.

Saw this over on U2Wanderer:
"Walk On" by U2 - new acoustic version featuring an original string arrangement by composer Paul Brill.  Free download for both!

Is it no longer available for free download, or am I just having trouble finding the link? :-(

It must no longer be available for free.  I don't see the links anymore.

I was able to download the acoustic version last week, but have also found you can no longer download the Edited Film Version. Can someone possibly e-mail me a copy, please?
