Dream Set-List Of Your Ideal U2 Show
« on: December 01, 2012, 02:23:34 PM »
It's another one of those threads, but I'm interested in your ideas of what an ideal U2 set-list would be with no new album out.

Make a set-list with between 23-25 songs.

You put together a U2 set-list the way Springsteen puts together his.  Songs jumbled up with only a limited structure.  That's not the U2 way, but it would certainly make things a lot more interesting if they did.

Actually, I wasn't really going for any thematic approach, since there isn't an album out or anything to refer to.

I just tried mixing slower with quicker tunes, lighter themes with darker ones.

I never understood why ISHFWLF wasn't ever a closer.

I'd love the mid-set 90s quartet too.

That's what I meant + Please.

I just wish they'd rediscover a love of their 90s stuff.

I hope they suddenly open their minds up to playing Pop again. Not trying to stuff Pop into the ending of a rave ala U2360

A 90s heavy show would make U2 seem like a totally different band, even today.

The show would be drenched in the sounds of the 90s, where as on the last three tours the 90s sound was an aberration.
