Which album has the best title?

Which album title reflects the mood and songs on the album the best? I'd have to say The Joshua Tree.

My initial response was The Unforgettable Fire because there's just something about it. Really, though, all the titles fit their albums well. LOVE me some U2! :)

I like The Joshua Tree too. Most original goes to Zooropa though.

Can't disagree with any of these.

So, now I wonder who picks the titles? Is that in any of the books? I have not come across that yet.

Boy and War both sum up their respective albums perfectly. That makes them the best to me.

I assume the band chooses them together. Maybe "Oh, that would be a great album title! Who wants to call it that?"

Zooropa, Pop, and The Joshua Tree are my favorite titles. War sums the album up the best. So does Pop.

Ditto on the War comments.

I'm just glad U2 has not made a self-titled album.  It disappoints me when artists do that, for no other reason than I feel an album title can let the band add an extra bit of creativity. And when the title's not directly connected to a song or lyrics, I enjoy trying to figure out why the album received that name (or, when the title is a little lyrical snippet, I get super excited when I make that connection...I'm very bad at understanding lyrics so it's a big deal to me :P).
