You don't have to hate.  There are lot of people who like U2 of the 80's and don't know about these songs.

what? i was hating on the incorrect use of the term "b-side". you mean non-album track.


this is a good "2nd disc" to JT anywas. i did "2nd discs" to Oasis's Morning Glory and Radiohead's The Bends. The amount of A+ material that didn't make the album is staggering.

I think if you compare those tracks to the last couple of full albums they stand up very well.  Especially Spanish Eyes, the cover Dancing Barefoot and the semi-cover Silver and Gold.

i'd say that makes S&G "inspired by" not a cover. DYFL is more a cover of "Alien Groove Sensation" than this S&G is a cover of something imo

I LOVE the 80's b-sides. This album would rank in my top 5 U2 albums. Luminous Times is a top 10 U2 song for me. Wave of Sorrow is amazing. Room at the Heartbreak Hotel is a side of U2 i'd like to see a lot more of. You just need to add Walk to the Water.
