Moment of Surrender

Hello all. I've become captivated by MOS lately, and my curiosity was perked over something. As the "oh oh oooohhhsss" are going at around 6:40, they fade out and at about 6:43 a strange little noise comes, kind of a alien spaceship type "wowa wowa wowa". What is it? How did they make that noise? Or am I just crazy tonight? Thanks!

I can hear high pitched noise faintly in the back doing that.
Could be a guitar, but it sounds like a theremin to me.

I love the bonus scene in it might get loud where Jimmy's playing the theremin, the Edge walks up and Jimmy just rejects him with his theremin sounds

First of all, Moment is a beautiful song - I agree, it's very captivating! Second, I don't know anything about recording music, but I would imagine it's some sort of effect. It doesn't sound like an instrument to me.
