Compared to the last rankings from August 2010, both Pop and Zooropa have moved up one position and NLOTH has dropped two positions.  Other than that the other albums retain their positions.

It’s as though NLOTH has found its natural position amongst U2 albums a few years after the initial novelty value has worn off.  It’s certainly dropped down in my ranking of U2 albums since its release.  I now regard NLOTH as a top six album and these latest rankings support that view.

The final ranking from August 2010 is based on 45 members ranking the albums in order of preference.

1. Achtung Baby  (494)
2. The Joshua Tree  (445)
3. The Unforgettable Fire  (350)
4. No Line On The Horizon  (335)
5. Pop  (318)
6. Zooropa  (310)
7. All That You Can't Leave Behind  (253)
8. War  (250)
9. Boy  (243)
10. How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb  (201)
11. Rattle & Hum   (190)
12. October  (113)

Wow, that's a very interesting comparison... that NLOTH has dropped while everything else stays pretty much the same.

The final result doesn't resemble my preference at all. :D HTDAAB is too low for one thing.

REALLY close to my preferences here. Only a few things- the top two swapped, NLOTH dropped for others but not for me, Zooropa is a little higher, etc.

Still good to see NLOTH as the best 2000s album though.:)

Poor October. It seems that the small minority of us who love it are still the only ones.

I have a hard time thinking of whether an album from one U2 era is superior to another from another era. For example, among the Boy/October/War block, I like October best. But if you ask me to compare Boy with TUF or R&H with Pop, I will probably just look at you with an expression that says I have no conceptual framework for doing such a thing.
