The image I always get from Mysterious Ways is from the end - "lift my days, light up my nights,
'DOH!
"
I can't seem to shake the image in my head of Homer Simpson saying 'DOH!"

The backing vocals on MoFo were always a bit fuzzy to me.

Not one of mine but
"Sky's full of felines / It's a beautiful day"
And from my 4- year-old.
"You got stuff in a moment and you can't get it out of it"

Not quite a mis-heard lyric more than an over logical kid's mind that ended up asking me where Vertigo was, and if it was anywhere in Dublin. Took a second for the penny to drop he was referring to "I'm at a place called vertigo"

I would definitely be asking that if I were his age! Did you correct him and tell him it's in Germany?

Not exactly a misheard lyric, but along the same lines. On the song 'Gone', when Bono sings, "Goodbye..." does anyone else expect him to continue "....Ruby Tuesday".. I expect it everytime I hear that song. Something about the melody, I guess.

"A Sort Of Homecoming"
Misheard Lyrics:
Osama wait,oh karma wait
O come, Osama wait say I.
Original Lyrics:
O come away, o come away
O come away say I.
(Suggest Different Misheard Lyrics)
Woah.......i guess i'm just shocked that it's NOT "o come away......" i guess you don't really know that you're not hearing it right though....

Apparently hardly anyone can get them right...
Wow... I love the misheard lyrics for "Shadows and Tall Trees"...
"Do you feel in me
Anything redeeming
Any worthwhile feeling
It's just like a taco
Hanging from the ceiling"
Who knew Bono liked Mexican food so much?
I have to grin sometimes when I listen to "Shadows and Tall Trees" after having read that.

Myself, I've always heard the lyric in One as, "too late, tonight, to drag the pasta into the light..."

Hmm... sSo, judging by these misheard lyrics, we can determine that Bono is subconsciously drawn to Mexican and Italian food... *raises one eyebrow*

Storing physical objects in time would be an awesome concept. Perhaps we can solve global warming by capturing greenhouse gases from the air and sticking them all in the 1980s.

Heard once in my sitting room "She-moo the Mysterious Whale". The singer was 4 years old though. Any other funny mis-quotes?
I remember this mis-heard lyric on the old forum, and the person thought it was:
"
Shamoo
the mysterious whale"
...which is of course, some famous whale. Not certain if it's mysterious though.
