Bruce Springsteen seems to be highly overrated on this forum
lol that was funny
Why? Its true.
you're saying the greatest American artist of all time is "overrated"

Boy wonder, he's saying on these forums he's over praised. I don't think he means he's not great.
but he deserves to be praised

I think he's a great musician/singer. He is overpraised on this forum though. You guys give him more credit than deserved IMO

an artist who made a fantatic album and is going around playing over 3 and a half hour shows deserves the credit

I don't see many give the effort he does

Let's add in Elvis and Frank too please.

And, agree that we aren't saying Bruce isn't good, just that he is overrated on this particular forum.

I agree with you on this point, despite disagreeing in other threads! You can't have a ridiculous list like that and not count Elvis or Sinatra, that's just incorrect.

I too think Bruce tends to be overrated. I think he's talented but he seems to get a free pass far too often, both on this forum and from his fans in general. They act as if he can do no wrong and automatically deserves the highest of accolades in every situation for anything he does. I'm not really a fan of his but I do think he deserves credit for his talent and influence. I just think some fans have a tendency to put him on an untouchable pedestal many times.

And they accuse us Radiohead fans of being too generous... ;)

I think you agree w/ mom quite a bit.  ;) Don't let that teeny disagreement on TST v. ES shake your faith. One song doesn't dominate, it's close; no big deal.

I'm a pretty big fan of Radiohead.
I'm a bit different though. Most people don't like Pablo Honey but it is probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite Radiohead album behind OK Computer

Rh is unlike any band in the regards taht the discography is polarizing even within the fan base. AB and JT? U2's best, one of the 2 is one of your top 2 favs, in most all cases. Rh? not at all. OKC would be most people's favs, after that it's anyone guess. Yes, i've heard people that love the rawness of PH more than the Bends, Kid A, waht have you

I'd also make an argument for Sticky Fingers. Not nearly as amazing as Beggar's Banquet, Exile, or Let It Bleed, yet held in the same respect.

Oh, those are far from the only two I left off. I didn't include the Gershwins, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Dizzy Gillespie, Charles Ives, John Adams, Phillip Glass, T-Bone Walker, Robert Johnson, B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Richard Rodgers or Stephen Sondheim, either.
