Isn't it lovely that we can all get along in peace and respect one another's opinions.

Thanks for the bold type BeThere, it appears you love a good argument.

He loves to argue, but rarley is it a good arguement.

The typical comment of someone who lost an arguement.

Haha, only in your mind Bethere. I think if we ask some of the respected posters that were following that thread like JTBaby, Exile, and TD they would give you a different opinion.

I can't believe you all don't realize that being young or being old has nothing to do with how you feel, but everything to do with the actual age you are. There's a simple mathematical way of determining these things. Regardless of how young he looks or feels, a man becomes objectively old when he turns 40 (much like a woman becomes old, obviously, when she turns 27).

Incidentally, this means I am 26 years old in girl-years....

Holy crap! I guess that means at 29 I'm now mutton dressed up as lamb... well in that case, screw the heels, ORTHOTICS HERE I COME!!!   :D

Pass the digestive biscuits, it's almost time for bingo.

Why do you think I directed it at you ?

Past behavoir, the attempt to align it with something involving age, and the fact you didn't mention the person.

In other words you made an assumption. Gotcha.

KitCat, in my original post, I made a mistake so I decided to modify it.  While I was modifying it, you replied.  But I realized my mistake was unmodifiable so I just removed my original post and created a new post.

See, this shows I'm not a respected poster yet.  I still make unmodifiable mistakes.   ;D

This is absurd. There really is no standard, it depends on the person. Yes, you could generalize that 0 to 30 is young, 30 to 60 is middle age, and 60 to 90 is old age, but again, really depends on the person.

A 60 year old that can bench press 350 pounds and run the mile in under 6 minutes and 3 miles in under 20 minutes is, you can argue, more fit than 90% of the high school and college age youth(14-23). Who is younger in terms of what they are actually able to do, this 60 year old or 90% of all youth?

As for females, they have yet to even hit their sexual peak at 27, so its absurd to be labling females at 27 "old".

Yup. No one in their right mind was convinced to change their position one iota by anything bethere said.

More likely its a matter of two things:

1. There are some people who cling to certain things so desperately that no amount of information will convince them of anything else.

2. They know their wrong and the other person is right, but admitting that would be beneath them and they may be angry or have a chip on their shoulder or feel embarrassed that their point of view did not hold up.

Don't worry, some people only refer to others in this forum as "respected posters" if they agree with their opinions.

Thats what you wish, but the facts of album sales, and concert ticket sales are the solid basis for which my points rested on. The opposite points rested on nothing other than speculation and nothing factual. Hot air vs points grounded in fact. In this case, people can dream, wish or pretend otherwise, but that won't change points grounded in facts.

Your posts are appreciated by some of us bethere and we're glad you make the effort to do so.    Regardless, I'd be inclined to just drop it.  No need to be belittled and vice versa.
