But what did you see him in? The role is as important as the actor, did anyone think Heath Ledger was capable of what he did in 'Brokeback.....' and 'Dark Knight' after watching 'Knight's Tale'? Not disputing that Cage has been in an awful lot of crap but he didn't make those films or write them, he's rubbish in them because he knows they're rubbish.
Brosnan! I forgot Brosnan! If anyone can name 2 good Brosnan films not called Goldeneye I'll buy you a pint.

Obviously, a really terrible actor.
Can't believe in light of some of the names mentioned nobody's put these fevered egos to the sword -
Tom Cruise
Will Ferrell
Halle Berry
Matthew Broderick
Jason Statham
Will Smith
Travolta (immense in Blow Out though)
Can't stand Will Ferrell. My kids can't believe I won't even watch Elf! Halle Berry is overrated for sure. Gorgeous for sure too.
Blow Out - Haven't thought of that one in years! Loved it!
Cruise is better than most think. I don't think people give him credit as an actor, not as much as he deserves - Born on the Fourth of July, Rain Main, A Few Good Men, Magnolia...
