The Joy Formidable

Just got the new (their second) LP and it's great. Anyone else a fan? Sort of remind me of loads of 90's indie/shoe gaze-y stuff but really, really intense and driven. They certainly make a racket for a three piece.

They're fantastic and The Big Roar was one of my favorite albums of 2011.

I picked up the new record yesterday and it's incredible. Definitely one of my favorite up-and-coming bands.

I've heard good things. The footage I've seen of them at festivals and special events has been pretty stellar.

I like them, not love them, but that's mostly because I haven't delved deeply into them. They just added a local concert. If I knew someone who'd go w/ me, I'd go.

So they're worth a listen?  I've been seeing them pop up just about every where but wasn't sure I had room in my heart these days for another UK-based trio  ;)

They're definitely worth looking into. Give them a shot and see what you think. :)
