Anyways, the NFL didn't think U2 wouldn't be as marketable for the halftime show??????? Really?

They were the first ones to do it solo, it was a big step away from the mostly pop star collaborations.

For me as a New Yorker, u2's performance was very uplifting in a very difficult time. I remember it well and how much it meant to so many, in particular to cops and firemen that I know personally. I don't care what any poll says, that was the greatest live performance I have ever seen.
