Alternate version of Breathe

Has anyone heard the alternate version of Breathe yet? I'm curious to know what it sounds like.

They only played a small snippet from what I could tell. Didn't sound like anything special.

It was during the credits of the documentary on South Africa that aired last night. What, you don't set your DVR to record all things South Africa-related in the hopes of hearing new U2 snippets? And we thought you were a Real Fan.

my DVD player doesnt record anything. And i don't have cable, or dvr. Netflix only for this guy. #RealFanout

Ah, I should have put two and two together, The Exile! And equated a sexxxy band to a sexy-accent country! Or just made the connection :Bono ---> <3 Tutu/ <3 Mandela --> SA!

Now I want lyrics *stomps feet and demands*. Very different lyrics from the original, but from what I've heard so far, it sounds like rhymes for the sake of rhyming (it is unpolished, after all)

ps: anyone has links to the entire docu? My crush is from SA.

Thank you very much for posting the snippet. I wouldn't have recognized which song was re-written, had I not known before that it's "Breathe". I'm kind of curious to find out who worked with them on the backing track. It's a different sound than the reworked "Winter" which previously appeared in another film and which RedOne worked on. It doesn't sound too HTDAAB either. There is something which sounds like a horn section near the end of the snippet, which is a very good arrangement idea to have there, but I'm not sure whether these are real horns or synthesized ones. I can only say it does not sound Lanoisish at all. I don't know what the songs on 46664 sound like so maybe Dave Stewart produced this one? Then, that would mean it would be around 10 years old but Bono sounds like his current self here, not like he used to 10 years ago.

What do you think about when this song might have come into existence?

His voice sounds so thin in this. And there's nothing that can be done with it as far as creating a hybrid verison since so much of it is talked over.
