Wow, I am amazed just how much everyone has to say about this song (both positive and negative).  I think that makes it a good song.  Andy Warhol once said it doesn't matter what they say about you but how long they are saying it.  Well, not exactly, but something very close to that!

I like everything on Pop (see Pop worship thread), this one again fits right into the theme of the album. It's just a cool little sarcastic tune. Nice atmosphere.

Musically, it's probably the least interesting on the album.  The melody isn't terribly great either.  I feel like they fit the lyrics well though, and as a whole the song works well.  The problem is a lot of people just aren't grabbed by the song at first listen, and so they don't like it.  It's sort of like the people who don't like "If You Wear That Velvet Dress"...you need to be able to appreciate subtlety to understand those two.
