Oscar Pistorius
« on: February 19, 2013, 11:33:43 AM »
So, now we have heard the details of the case and both the opposition and defense cases. I for one am finding it hard to buy Oscar's account of what happened. Anyone agree?

Wait, so the details from both the prosecution and defence side have both been publicly released?

How the hell is he supposed to get a fair trial now?

Jesus Droo, all I said was that we had heard each sides accounts of events.

The more we hear the details, the more I believe he may be guilty. Thats just my feelings, and of course we will never hear all the details.

Has the trial already started? I highly doubt it's moving along this efficiently. If it hasn't yet started, and becomes a jury trial, these details being public will likely poison the fairness of the trial.

Sorry, as a defence lawyer I can't help but think of these things.

No, of course it hasn't started yet. It may not start for months. The evidence given was at the bail hearing.

It takes forever for things to get to trial here due to court backlog, but I thought perhaps due to the notoriety of this one that it might be given priority.

Fair enough. I don't know much about bail hearings because I don't conduct them. Thank God.
