all the members of REM turned up at the 40 Watt Club in Athens, GA, last night. 3 of them took the stage.

Awesome.  Now they only need to persuade Michael Stipe to give up his professorship in American Studies for a couple of years and they can hit the road again with a reunion album and tour.

That's noteworthy. Have they done this in the past? They are officially non-existent now. Correct?

1.  Not to my knowledge. Doesn't Peter Buck live in Seattle these days?

2. Correct.

New Kanye album, produced by q-tip & Rick rubin, coming summer 2014.
He also states that yeezus was his Nebraska and his next album will be his born in the USA. Can a knowledgable Springsteen fan interpret this analogy for me?

Someone more into Springsteen may be able to elucidate further, but from what I know, Nebraska is the serious, stark, critically-acclaimed work that preceded Born In the USA's massive mega-star-making crossover pop hit.

We'll see if he can top Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. I doubt it, but we never know.

this.

He might also be joking around by saying Yeezus is stripped down compared to what's coming next summer

Yeezus came close but I don't think anything ever will. Fantasy is one of the few albums that is actually perfect.

Macaulay Culkin (yes, the kid from home alone) is in a pizza-themed velvet underground cover band, called the pizza underground. And believe it or not, it's not bad.

Well, while some of us were sleeping or watching War of the Worlds(1950s version), Beyonce released her new album.
