Technically he did with the soundtrack to Captive - my vote goes for stay as you are - the coolest guitar dude in the biggest band in the world!

Agreed with the title. Edge is too cool, he is cool enough to stay with U2.

Well, seeing as he can play guitar, piano, and sing (almost) at the same time, he could make a spiffy one-man band! And I seem to recall Bono saying something about Edge being a "frustrated drummer"...

So yes, he could (but I hope he doesn't)!

There would be no U2 without any of them.  Without Bono they would have no voice or image, without The Edge they wouldn't have their sound or their heart and their soul, without Larry they wouldn't have their pretty boy and the band would have never been founded, and without Adam they would have no funk and no rockstar.

I shudder to think of a funk-less U2... *whimper*

Although I'm going to state the obvious and say that without any of them, U2 would certainly not be U2!  :D
