Born to Run, Bruce Springsteen. Now I'm convinced the best part of that album is Clarence Clemons' sax solo on "Jungleland"

The Piper at the Gates of Dawn.

Having just received the Pink Floyd Discovery box set, I am going to proceed with listening to each full studio album (and the live Ummagumma disc) in chronological order--something I've surprisingly never done before.  I pulled the same trick with the Beatles stereo box set a few years ago.  Next up, A Saucerful of Secrets....

David Byrne and St. Vincent - Love This Giant

-first time listening to it, and it isn't bad... if you're looking for a Talking Heads type album for the present, although lyrically it isn't quite as fun.

^That album has really grown on me. I'm not too fond of some of the songs Annie Clark sings, but David Byrne's vocals are excellent... and I absolutely love I Should Watch TV. And the brass is fun to dance to.

I'm pretty sure St. Vincent is coming out with a new album in a couple months. Never heard anything by her though.

I found Dokken's Under Lock and Key for 69 cents on cassette at a thrift store today and just finished listening to it. A really good album beginning to end.

I Have to agree with you... I got it due to David Byrne.  She doesn't impress me enough to even really consider checking out anything else she has done.  But they work well together and I love the music (bass, brass, etc).  I don't listen to his stuff or Talking Heads enough.  I think that if I would have been about 5 years older, Talking Heads would have been my favorite band.  As it turned out, I grew into music after they faded from the mainstream and ended up hating them for years (based on their singles and hits).  It wasn't until about 10 years ago that I really discovered them due to my wife being a huge fan.

The Flaming Lips - Embryonic

I keep trying to get into this album and their most recent one, The Terror, and I just can't seem to get there.  Embryonic just seems hit and miss.
