^That album has really grown on me. I'm not too fond of some of the songs Annie Clark sings, but David Byrne's vocals are excellent... and I absolutely love I Should Watch TV. And the brass is fun to dance to.

I Have to agree with you... I got it due to David Byrne.  She doesn't impress me enough to even really consider checking out anything else she has done.  But they work well together and I love the music (bass, brass, etc).  I don't listen to his stuff or Talking Heads enough.  I think that if I would have been about 5 years older, Talking Heads would have been my favorite band.  As it turned out, I grew into music after they faded from the mainstream and ended up hating them for years (based on their singles and hits).  It wasn't until about 10 years ago that I really discovered them due to my wife being a huge fan.
Yeah, most of St. Vincent's music bores me. Talking Heads were amazing though! I love Remain In Light and Stop Making Sense most of all, but really nearly everything I've heard gives off this comfortable feeling, like they wrote songs just for me even if I can't relate to it. The album Talking Heads: 77 is full of little lyrics that I instantly felt I understood. And it had nothing to do with the words themselves- I just understood the sound and style immediately. I don't know, they're just a really happy band for me.

I bought Remain In Light on something of a whim last weekend and I'm really surprised about how much I'm enjoying it. Which Talking Heads album should I get next? Talking Heads 77?

'77 is the first one I heard, but I think I only love it so much because personal emotional resonance. I would suggest Fear of Music or Stop Making Sense, the concert movie.

Ummagumma, Pink Floyd. Yes, both live and studio discs. Atom Heart Mother is next.

Ha! My dad and I found that CD in a cheap thrift shop back during the summer. We weren't expecting it to be good, but man, that music is catchy!
