We've activated a new feature that all logged-in members should be able to access: "Save as Draft."
It's exactly what it sounds like: It allows you to save new posts and/or replies as drafts and return to them later.
How It Works
1.) When you start a new Topic, you'll now see a fourth blue button, "Save as Draft," next to the original "Post," "Preview" and "Spell Check" buttons.
2.) When you click "Reply" to an existing post or topic, you'll see the same "Save as Draft" button.
3.) You WON'T see the "Save as Draft" option if you use the "Quick Reply" section at the bottom of Topic pages.
Where are my drafts?
There are a couple ways to access your drafts:
1.) On your profile page, on the "Profile Info" dropdown, there's a new option called "Show Drafts." Click that to see all of your drafts.
2.) When you start a new Topic or click "Reply" in an existing Topic, at the bottom of the page you'll see a list of your saved drafts. You'll click "Edit Draft" to use what you had written before. (Note: the "Edit Draft" button GIF appears to be missing from the them, but the link still works. We'll work on fixing that missing image.)
You might find it useful as a way to save ideas that you want to discuss in the future when you have time to write more. You might find it useful for saving a reply that's written in the heat of the moment -- something that might be better if you slept on it before posting. You might find it useful in other situations ... who knows?
We hope you guys use and like this new feature.
