I love everything about this album. If a remaster makes it sound even better, I'm all for it!!

I love the album but do wish the mastering were better. I would be all for a less-compressed and more clear remaster.

Make it a deluxe edition with disc 2 having things like Mercy, the alternate versions, fast cars, neon lights, are you gonna wait forever, smile, love you like mad, remixes.

And just call it a deluxe edition since "remaster" sounds weird for a 2004 album. Or any album released in the 90s to now. Though this one could be remastered to improve the sound.

I think if anything were to be re-released though, it'd be an ATYCLB 15th Anniv.

If I recall, the entire album was streamed online or could have been accessed free via Amazon.

I don't really remember.

Someone here will be most certainly remember correctly what happened and in what order.

Here's what I remember:

It was a good album.

It was also a monster album for the band...

Almost went straight out platinum the first week of it's release here in the U.S, spawned one of the biggest tours of the decade and won "album of the year" at the Grammy's.

Not a bad follow up...

Never cared really much for "Vertigo".

Liked the video though.

Completely unnecessary in my opinion.

Just change the cover.

The back and front covers should have been switched.

I like the wasteland feel of the back cover photo; it fits with the bomb metaphor.

Exactly, I think it has more songs than ATYCLB.

I'd like to get a copy of North Star that was conceived during the sessions and an official version of Mercy.

The idea of remastering is old-fashioned. How, exactly, does one re-master a digital album, where master copies do not degrade?

remixing or deluxe edition yes - but remaster - that term should be reserved for the pre-digital world....

I guess remix is the better word.

Regardless, the original CD mix is crap.  :D
