I'll never let it disappear, singnomore!  If I have to, I'll just start posting all the wonderful lyrics to all the songs to keep it going :)  But then the powers that be (Joe!) may lock it up and throw away the key if I start that! :(

I hope he doesn't do that. :( But you gave me a great idea in that I can even post song lyrics in my UF thread! Thanks you! ;) This thread and all other worship threads will NOT die!!!

I love the live version of Gloria cause it's just more energetic and full of life. Adam should learn how to slap and pop his bass again.

Too right - Adam is so mellow now - see when you see him play that bass on Under a Blood Red Sky!!!!

I love October live - think we should start a play October live more often campaign thread?!!

October is among my three favorite U2 albums, which is weird because a couple of years ago, it probably would have been in the bottom three. The remastered version really improved my opinion of it. I wouldn't change a thing about it. Its "unfinished" or "raw" condition makes it perfect. Bono's words come straight from his heart, Edge truly is "on fire," and Adam and Larry have rarely been this aggressive. My favorite tracks include the title cut (bring it back live!), Tomorrow, Gloria, Is That All, I Threw A Brick, and the totally underrated I Fall Down. No, the album isn't polished or even well written, but it's more alive than the best albums of a dozen other bands I could name (way better than anything Coldplay have recorded thus far, IMO). Just a great, great listen.

Oh, I know! I love his early basslines. Gloria, Endless Deep, I Threw A Brick...

And singnomore, you're absolutely right--his grooving in UABLS was superb!  ;D

You know what about U2 playing the entire October album (as has become the 'fashion' with bands - Simple Minds, Echo and the Bunnymen) - now that would be totatly amazing?

That would be great - can you imagine Adam doing the affro thing again (just to get into the groove obviously!!)

Not only would the afro come back, but we'd have to resurrect the mullet, too...  ;D
