Do we have any insights on how Bono and the guys view October?

October is great. Never considered it a weak/unfinished/whatever else album. It was great at the time it came out, and it's great still.

I think that one of the possible reasons it's underrated by many fans is because many might not know it very well.
Take, for example, a 16 year old fan. Let's say they've been a fan since they were 10, that's 6 years ago, year 2002. By then U2 has released 10 studio albums, The Best Of, Rares, concert videos, you name it. That's a lot of music, a lot to choose from. You give something a listen once or twice, if it's not your favorite you have tons of other stuff to listen to.
Another thing is, U2 music changed a lot over the years, Zooropa lovers might find October not to their liking, and vice versa.

Well, anyway that's just my 5 cents on the topic.i love this vid Starfish its awsome .yes this song is about my birhtday , ;)how cool is that

I worship.  ;)

'And i want to go to the foot of mount zion.....'

You know some good points about younger U2 fans and i suppose if you compare the album to more recent releases it maybe sounds 'rough'? However do you think its a younger U2 fan thing or a general U2 fan thing?

All I know is that its a hidden gem amongst diamonds and needs its profile raised.....

Seeing the publicity shot for 'No Line' couldn't but help think of the October album - dont know why.....

Ok... I finally got the entire album (thanks to my best friend, who burned me the deluxe edition).

Is it just me, or is "Fire" seriously underrated? I don't know why, but I really like it...

Fire is a great song - I'm sure on Youtube u can see them playing it on Top of The Pops. Bono says he hates that performance coz they dressed badly in black or something.

Theres also a live version recorded at Werchter - Bonos voice sounds gubbed but I love it.

Keep listening!!

I just love this album, and the reissue is the best of all, even though Boy is my favorite album, those live performances are awesome!
