A New and Young Fan
« on: January 16, 2016, 04:13:14 PM »
I'm a 20 year old U2 fan currently working my way through their discography.  My dad has been a huge fan since he saw them in Boston in the early 1980s.  I was a casual fan until my dad noticed that the guitar in the Walk the Moon song "Shut Up and Dance" sounded like the guitar in Streets.  This lead me to listen to Streets and to fall in love with the band.  I listened to Joshua Tree and started periodically borrowing their other albums from my dad's collection.  Joining this forum is another step along my journey of discovery.

My username comes from the lyric "In my dream I was drowning my sorrows, but my sorrows, they learned to swim," from Until the End of the World, a favorite lyric of mine.

Hello SwimmingSorrow,

welcome to the Forum. I hope you'll enjoy it here.
It's great to hear that young people also find U2s music interesting.
I have two sons and hope that some day they will also find out what a wonderful band U2 is.
