The Larry Mullens Jnr should sign for his fans - he's fans have made him the man he's is
For a person so sensitive about arrogance... I think you should re-read the last part of your post.
Being the person you are depends on so many things besides fame & money... Anyway.
I love autographs. I don't have a lot but I have spent quite some time and effort trying to acquire them one way or another. I reckon that autograph collecting is a very strange habit when it goes to the extreme. For my part, I have no problem understanding why some people sign, and some others don't. And I've had my share of rejection, believe me. It's just part of the game. If you're ok with the rules, go play. If you're not ok with the rules, don't blame it on others.
Rule number 1 being : chances that you'll get nothing are way more than chances you'll get anything. Be prepared to leave empty handed.
By the way, I have autographs of every U2 member... except Larry. Too bad for me. I love him anyway.
