Got GAs for the JT Tour in Cleveland

Just coming in for the one day? If you're gonna stay longer, you must hit Cedar Point (aka Rollercoaster Heaven). Seriously, if it comes down to either CP or RRHOF, go to CP.

I'm from Cleveland, so it's a hometown show for me.

I'm from Michigan myself, Cleveland and Chicago feel like second homes to me (since I go there so much for conventions or concerts).  ;) I'm happy that Cleveland fans are finally getting another U2 concert since it's been a while since the last one (Vertigo tour maybe?).

Still crossing my fingers that Michigan will get U2 on the continuation of the I&E tour, but I'm not holding my breath on that one.

I'm hoping they're going to open up the new Red Wings arena myself. Some other band will probably beat 'em to it, though.

I can add that Sons of the Silent Age show--a great Bowie tribute band--which I saw on Sunday.  They did all of Low in its entirety for the first half.

Radiohead is playing Atlanta but I'm gonna be out of town. Bummed

IF - we're only going up for the show. I would totally have gone to cedar point though!

MG- yes!!!! Gonna be the best show of the tour! We need to meet up again. Star is going too!

Chill - yay!!! So happy you're seeing them again. Although your company might not be as good as last time ;)

You speak the truth! Cedar Point is awesome. I'm actually toying with the idea of going there the day after the U2 concert, because how else can you top a U2 concert? Well, you can't, but Cedar Point is a pretty good substitute.  ;D Probably going to hit up the Rock Hall on Friday before the concert, too.

I'd love it if they opened up the new Little Caesars Arena (btw, hate that it's called that). I don't think they will, but it sure would be cool. I know the Joe is hated on for concerts, but I have many fond memories of concerts there and am sad to see it go.

They said a month ago on Kimmel that they would be doing a big US tour in 2017. So, hopefully sometime soon they'll announce it.

I'd like this as well, however it seems like they're thinking stadiums:

so let me get this straight, i've seen like 100+ club/theater/arena/stadium etc shows in about 20ish years. of those 100 FIVE have been <will be in the case of JT17> in stadiums....
Nsync in 01, U2 in 09 & 11, Coldplay in 16 and now U2 and <possibly> Metallica in 17?! 3 over 10 years and the next 3 in under 2? i'm not a big fan of those statistics...

Yeah, I know what you mean. I've lost count how many concerts I've seen (not as many as you, but probably somewhere close to 40-50 in the last 10 years) and, of those, 6 will be in stadiums by the end of this year (Paul McCartney in 2011 in a baseball stadium, U2 in 2009/2011 and possibly twice in 2016, One Direction in 2014, and Metallica this year). I prefer arena shows for their intimacy, plus you don't have to deal with the outside elements as you do at most stadium shows.

BTW, I was going to say something about you going to Nsync, then I remembered I got dragged to One Direction so I have no room to talk.  :P

I feel like scalpers are going to be a problem for the Metallica shows, too. :/

Hm.  Good question about stadium shows.  Let's see.  Including baseball stadiums:

U2 - Zoo TV Outside Broadcast (x1)
Pink Floyd - Division Bell (x1)
U2 - PopMart (x2)
Paul McCartney (x1)
The Police (x1)
U2 - 360 (x1)
U2 - JT30 (x1)
