I've been digging new releases from Rhiannon Giddens, Mr Jukes, Damian Marley, Grizzly Bear; and am excited to listen to the new Iron & Wine and Gogol Bordello, both of which came out last week. Later this year, I'm excited to hear new albums from both Beck and U2, too!

Electronic artist Matthew Dear recruited Tegan and Sarah to make a single. It's called "Bad Ones," and as far as I'm concerned, it just might be the best single anyone's gonna release this year.   You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I need to pick this up.  What do you think?

As for me, I'm looking forward to Tangerine Dream's album coming in a couple of weeks.  I've been on a real TD kick lately, and it's cool that I'm on board for a new release from the band, even if the founder passed a few years back.

Anybody listen to the new Tori Amos album yet?  I'm just digging into it now and there's quite a bit to like so far - only a few tracks in.  A little pretentious but still cool.

Native Invaders - released a week ago.

I've been curious about the new Tori album. I haven't been able to connect with anything of hers since...well, for a very long time. I used to snatch up everything by her. But her last two or three albums I couldn't even get through. I really want to love her again.

I was doing a lot of work around the house with the radio cranked, and the DJ thought it would be cute to play the Gallagher brothers' new singles back-to-back.

First up was Liam's "Come back To me." What a dungheap. If I hadn't been so busy at that moment, I would've changed the station.

Next up was the new High Flying Birds single. Way too much like an outtake from Bryan Ferry's 1st solo album for comfort; Noel's been a lot more original on his last couple of albums, so I was disappointed. Tell you what,
though - this song's gonna bring the house down every time HFB play it live.

Enjoying the new St. Vincent album and much to my surprise, I am having fun with the new Beck record too.  Yeah, it's very poppy, but it's fun and bouncy and catchy as anything he's done.  Not his best work by far, but a decent record to add to his impressive catalogue.
