The new Future Islands album The Far Field is fantastic. They are a band at their peak following Singles in 2014.

Songs from 2017 that I've been spinning the past few weeks -- a few have already mentioned:

"Ran" -- Future Islands
"XXX," "DNA," and "Humble" -- Kendrick Lamar
"Sign of the Times" -- Harry Styles

I don't know if I could name a One Direction song, but that Harry Styles has been on repeat for me lately -- fantastic tune.

I have quite a few albums I'm looking forward to. New Royal Blood, Lorde, Benjamin Booker and Dan Auerbach all coming out soon.

I keep returning to Mount Eerie's (Phil Elverum) A Crow Looked at Me. It's been well documented how crippling this album is, but something that I always find after listening is how much it makes every other piece of music seem shallow. I can't help but think "this feels meaningless" no matter how much I enjoy the following record.

"Swims" is one of the most powerful and devastating songs I've ever heard. The ending is so moving.

I've been waiting for this for so long and it didn't disappoint. I think I've listened to it around 50 times now.

They announced some Europe dates for June/July. Can't wait for them to tour stateside.

Yep.  I listened to the single.  Surprisingly old-school synth stuff in there.  Some very Pink Floyd elements.  I'm not sure entirely what to think, but I'll probably have to pick this up.
