Boom.

Didn't he have a Christmas scare/hoax a couple of years ago?

He's struggled with health the last few years. Last year's "hoax" was a misinterpretation that social media ran away with, as he was pretty close to death a few times with pneumonia and other complications. Sadly, his death has been confirmed by his publicist and police.

You gotta have faith...

He really was a great songwriter.  It's too bad he died so young.  2016 is a hell of a year so far.

Just when I was excited about the U2 news, I get kicked in the gut with this news.

2016 has been a pretty awful year for losses. RIP George, you made some great music.  :'(

Just remembered he did a lovely cover of Miss Sarajevo: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Listening to it now and even sadder about the news. And I'm not even a big fan of his.

Careless Whisper is one of the greatest songs of the 1980s.

Last Christmas is one of the very best Christmas songs of all time.

This has been a devastating year for losses in the music world.

It will be interesting to see what the cause of death is.

RIP George Michael.

I'm also very saddened to hear this news.  He wrote brilliant pop songs in the 1980s, and given the genre he worked in he didn't get the critical acclaim he deserved.

Here's a great early Wham! song, which beautifully mixes pop and politics.  Very fun video too: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I loved George Michael in the 80s so sad.  Had quite a few posters in my room.
