Joshua tree 2017: Dublin meetup
« on: January 09, 2017, 01:43:08 PM »
Anyone planning on attending the Dublin show? Interested in a fan forum meetup ahead of the show? I plan on flying in for it since Dublin was my original hometown.

Would love to hear about a meet-up!!   So psyched to get Croke Park ticket but husband or friends can't go.   My first time in Dublin so will be looking for any & all tips (found a U2 walking tour that I may sign up for on Friday if anyone else is interested).    July seems so far away!

Definitely interested.  My wife and I will be coming to Dublin from Atlanta for the show. Looking forward to it and would love to hang out with some other fans.

I would definitely love to hear about a meet up.   This will also be my first trip to Dublin and I am really looking forward to it.  The walking tour sounds fun too so I would be interested to hear more about that and any other things!

Here's the walking tour I found - seems like it's gotten great reviews.   Not sure if we're allowed to post commercial things so apologies if I shouldn't be posting the link.    You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

As the date gets closer, we can take a head-count and I'll reach out to see availability, etc.

I'm interested in a Dublin meetup, the walking tour, and any and all advice on visiting the city since I've never been there.
BTW, I'm feeling extremely guilty that I have a ticket when so many local fans don't. Yes, I still plan to go ... I'm just going to feel guilty while I do that.

I didn't look at the link posted about walking tours, but one I've heard is good is from a forum member Daveyg. You can e-mail him at: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I'm going to Dublin and will be at the concert! I did the walking tour with Davey G last year and he was wonderful. He really knows his stuff and puts his heart and soul into all things U2. His tour is on Saturday, 11 am to 1 pm.

However, I don't know if I can make it to that, so I'll keep checking to see if any other meetups get arranged.
