I'm local, so no need for a hotel - just thought I'd detail my parking plans:

Driving from North Orange County...

Parking at Parsons Parking 100 W Walnut - pre-booked through ParkWhiz

Taking the Shuttle - $5/pp

Anyone know anything about Union Station? Is there a way to leave luggage there?

I dont believe so, not listed on their amenities page... You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Also, if 360 Tour was any indication, wi-fi will be virtually non-existent at The Rose Bowl.

I mean, it's been 7 years, so maybe

I took the shuttle for the 2009 Rose Bowl show and the wait after the show for the shuttles was insane. We ended up walking back to the Parsons lot. I'm a little wary of doing the shuttle again but parking onsite may not be any better.

That does not sound right, I will call tomorrow. RZ is on the other side of the stadium

If you think about the gates in relation to the stage setup and Red Zone location, Gates D or E make the most sense for GA entry. Red Zone will enter through Floodgate 2 between Gates B and C, which makes sense since that's a direct line to the Red Zone. They won't use Gates C and F for GA because those will probably be two of the main gates for reserved seating. Gates B, A and G won't work because they're located behind the stage. So that leaves Gates E, N and D for GA. Gate E makes the most sense because it funnels into the wide open area of GA without the Red Zone barricade.

I took the shuttle for Coldplay a few months back. Going there was a breeze, but the line after looked nuts, so we decided to walk to the structure. Took us about 30 minutes. Not bad at all. Looks like for U2, parking will be $15 at the structure, with a $5 shuttle ticket. I'll probably be doing that for the 20th.

I'm really concerned about what time I should get there with GA tickets though. I don't need to be on the rail, but I don't want to miss The Lumineers either...

If you show up an hour before, you'll get a relatively good position and will make it in time. It's just the general crowd who make up the big mass and tend to show up later.

Is it safe to assume U2 will the stage around 9pm?

Rose bowl posted on Facebook, no overnight camping or early GA lines. Says they'll email everyone Friday information about GA for the next day. Parking lot will still open at 2:30

From everything I have read, parking and getting in and out of the Rose Bowl is a nightmare. I'm thinking of getting an Uber to take us there and then walking a couple miles away from stadium after the show and having an uber pick us up there. Maybe the Pasadena Museum of history. I may be the only person ever to have never taken an Uber so I'm not sure-  don't they charge way high rates at big events like this?  That's why I figure walking some way out from stadium could get a better rate and more importantly miss the worst of the congestion. Anyone have any thoughts on if this sounds like a good plan? Thanks in advance!
