Vancouver city/venue details

If you have questions that are specific to this city or venue, please ask them in here and other forum members will do their best to help. This is a great place to share information about places to stay or eat, as well as how different venues are handling the GA lineup -- things like that.

If you have general tour-related questions, please use the main TOURS board. If you're looking to buy/sell/trade tickets at face value, please use the Tickets Buy/Sell/Trade board.

Anyone have suggestions on how to get from Vancouver to Seattle without having to rent a car?  Looks like the only other true options are bus ride or train.

I think some friends used the bus when they did this a few years ago, and had a good experience with it. Alaska Airlines also flies between those two cities, but probably more hassle and $$ than it's worth.

A friend and I took the bus several years ago (Popmart, I believe), and it was no hassle. I think a 3hr-ish trip?

I have been leaning towards the train so that looks like the route I will take.  Everything I read makes it sound like the border crossing can be a real pain, especially when on a bus since everyone has to get off.  Some people have said it can take up to 2 hours.

Bolt bus is pretty good apparently. It only stops in Portland, Seattle, Bellingham, the border, and Vancouver.

You will need to take a bus then SkyTrain. This link has a trip planner so it will tell you exactly what bus/train to take.

I am taking the Amtrak Cascades from Vancouver to Tukwila on Saturday after the show. It is an early departure(6:30am), but the views along the way look great and it will be nice to just relax. The Station in Vancouver is also very close to BC Place.

Any whispers of GA line protocol?

Last time at BC Place (360) was a bit of a gong show. Stadium did not allow us onto the property. We waited across the street in the middle of nowhere with nothing but the casino which eventually stopped letting ppl use their washroom. Closer to the show the whole line was escorted up the stairs and around the building.

The main entrance is different now and is on the Robson side, at least for soccer games. I suspect they won't want a line on the property again but it'd be so much more convenient to wait on the Robson side...

Anyone taking the lead?

ICYMI, BC Place tweeted last night that GA for Vancouver enters via Gate E.
