Why wouldn't they bother with a second date?

Not exactly a reliable source.

Just because the concert is "Sold Out"... doesn't really mean all the tickets are in peoples hands yet. And they still may have tickets to release.

If I were U2 at this stage in their career, I would leave people wanting more. 1 show in Dublin is maybe enough.

It's still floating around that they might play Cork. Parc Ui Chaoimh, where they played on the original tour, is re-opening in June after a massive rebuild.

Stranger things have happened!

Croker second date looks massively doubtful.

August 8th was the original date of the Cork gig in '87. It ended the European tour.......................history to repeat itself?!

That would be sweet! A lot of U2's crew (incl Joe O'H.) came from Cork, so they have a sentimental attachment to the place, but economics trumps sentiment every time these days :(

I remember that show when it happened. It actually could happen. To put that gig in perspective, the best hockey player in the world was born that week.

Rumor going around now that the Stones will be taking Croke Park's 3rd slot for this summer. No 2nd U2 show if that's true.

Looks like it could be The Rolling Stones who get this 3rd Croke gig
