Yeah....... that would be so awesome. Getting so exited here !
The wanderer would also be a great tune to play for the band, and
that will fit in.

yes, the wanderer would work for that time frame...I was thinking maybe Drowning Man, too. Great songs.
You SHOULD be getting excited! I'm excited for you...
Oh, and back on subject, have I mentioned that HAWKMOON would be a good song for them to play? haha

With the theme of the tour being JT, I would think the majority of the set will be 80's influenced, with a few 90's & 00's hits scattered throughout.

And yes, Hawkmoon should be played. Maybe the best "rock" song they've ever done.

Yeah, al lot of people are talking about Drowning Man. Even The Edge was surprised. I would love to hear it live - maybe it was thé song that made me think 'what a great band it is' a few years ago.

I agree a little with riffraff: just make an 80's show. It would be a real Joshua Tour then. But I also think: they're very restricted to their setlist (what could it make a greatest hits tour). So I'm hoping they're going to do tricky songs  :)

For me Drowning Man is a studio track.  I don't think it would translate well to the live stage.  And that is always going to be a major consideration for the band.  Bono would also struggle with the vocal delivery.  Never mind Hawkmoon.

About vocals: Trip Through Your Wires is something to look forward to. The 'Trip through your wires' part, will it sounds like the I+E-tour where he led October into Bullet The Blue Sky? That could be great or very ugly, haha!

It will stretch them enough learning the songs that have rarely if ever been played - If you are expecting/hoping for more rare stuff on top of that I would suggest you will probably be disappointed.

'Greatest Hits' set and TJT

Think of the most predictable greatest hits set in the context of U2 and it will include these songs:-

I Will Follow
SBS
New Year's Day
Pride
Bad
Desire
All I Want is You
The Fly
One
Mysterious Ways
UTEOTW
Stay (acoustically)
Beautiful Day
Elevation
Vertigo

Technically speaking Discotheque is one their greatest hits too, but I reckon they'll make an exception for it.

Tricky songs would be great...I don't even care if they screw them up...
