There's really so many.  I'd want to narrow it down, though--are you talking about single-artist works (Peter Gabriel's Passion, Vangelis' Blade Runner, etc.), or compilations ("Singles", "The Crow", "Trainspotting", etc.)

Yeah, there was another thread about favorite scores (But I'm too lazy to search for the link), and the same discussion came up about soundtracks vs. scores.

To me a score is a soundtrack of original music by one or two artists, and the music is generally non-lyrical (i.e. The Mission, Braveheart, Chariots of Fire, Captive). Just my opinion. I don't think the definition is black and white though.

for the most part but like Enya appearing on the LOTR soundtrack that's still a score to me.

the line blurs cuz most soundtrack compilations include the main theme from the score to the film as well.

im listening to select songs from the Spawn soundtrack now.

so my friend/coworker from years ago gave me this in like 01 on a data cd. i dont think i'd ever thought about it till i remember that Metallica remix on it. Yea that wasn't good but Manson's Long Hard Road Out of Hell is on it and well i like that song lol.

That Filter and Crystal Method song is good too
