Agreed, Dave. I deleted MJ from my iTunes. Touch a kid and you're out, I don't care how good your art is. Lives > Art.

Did Jackson "touch a kid"? Big claim there, Mr Cat....

"Big" claim? Are you feckin' kidding me?

I am going to put it like this - and then leave it to hang....

I have seen it stated very clearly by the forums admin and mods here that "stating things as inarguable facts" and we are talking about things which are actually pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things like 'ATYCLB is rubbish' for example is not the kind of stuff people want to see here...... and that it switches people off from wanting to post here/spoils conversation etc....

There has been pretty heavy discussion on this and people have fed back to the forum saying it turns them off here/stops them from posting etc....hey go and read the long exchanges I had in a thread with the admin and mods about that kind of stuff - it is in the feedback section...

Surely stating as a fact that Jackson 'touched kids' when he was never convicted of doing so and was in fact found not guilty at trial is much, much worse behaviour than that and as such has no place here i would imagine...

This is a forum where we can't discuss politics and other 'hot button' topics......so yeah to effectively call Jackson a paedo is in my view a 'big claim'.

This is a forum where saying 'ATYCLB is rubbish' is seen as being poor form - so again yeah i'd say what you are saying is a 'big claim' in terms of where you have made it.

Is it not a fact that it was revealed relatively recently that Jackson's computer was full of pedo porn? That in itself is enough of a crime, but that combined with the allegations certainly takes the presumption of innocence away in the court of my opinion.

I addressed the 'touching kids' comment made not anything about computers or your opinion.

Yeah Missey, nice going.  ;D

The funny thing about this is that I was at a SF Giants game in '95 or '96, and Ginsberg was there to throw out the first pitch... sort of a ceremonial thing. So while he was on the pitching mound, he starts blabbering this poem through the PA system, and it went on and on and on. Well, this was a baseball crowd, and he finally got booed off the mound.

And guys, let's move on from the Michael Jackson stuff from this point on.

While that might be true, I would never a million years guess the turn this thread has taken.

Idolises Ginsberg, writes Sleep Like A Baby Tonight... Bono's never been shy of hypocrisy, but this takes the cake.

Anyways, I'm out of this thread.

And with that, we're pretty much done here.

I asked people nicely to move on from talking about MJ, and the next 3 posts were about MJ.
Good job.
