Yes it was - especially as the first week was in Dublin!
At Manchester we went second night and sat next to the late great Gary Speed & his wife.  In 2005 he would have been playing for Bolton Wanderers who were in the Premier League then (Gary Speed was a footballer turned manager).

I'm 50 (but feel like I'm 30 sometimes & the husband says I act like 16 most of the time ;))

May 23, 1983:  War Tour - Portland, OR at Paramount Theater  (First time seeing U2. My best friend & I happened upon Bono after the show with about 7-8 other folks.  He regaled us with stories as well as asked if anyone knew about a lost briefcase of lyrics all while sitting in an abandoned shopping cart behind the theater in the Park Blocks.  It was a high school girl's dream come true and made me a fan for life).

November 3, 1992:  ZooTV Outside Broadcast Tour - Vancouver, BC at BC Place (A good friend & I turned in absentee ballots for Presidential election so we could see U2 in Canada courtesy of the company I worked for at the time.  Bono let folks know from the stage that Bill Clinton was our new president).

May 6, 1997:  PopMart Tour - Eugene, OR at Autzen Stadium  (Miraculously scored 2 front row seats--along with 6 seats in about row 10 for the rest of our clan--in regular sale via the phone.  My husband said I looked stunned & kept asking operator over and over about the location of the front row seats.  Once the Auzten show occurred, I quickly realized that front row for a giant production like PopMart was very difficult when you're 5'2". It was great when the band were at the lip of the stage, but we couldn't see much when they walked back--only saw Larry when they all came out of the lemon).

December 12, 1997:  PopMart Tour - Seattle, WA at Kingdome (It was Christmastime & I remember there was a Christmas tree on a high part of the set.  We were really hoping they'd play "Christmas Baby-Please Come Home", but alas no such luck.  Again scored great seats in about the 20th row on the floor of the Kingdome for six of us via the old phone ticketing system.  Crazy.).

April 15, 2001:  Elevation Tour - Portland, OR at Rose Garden (First time doing GA, and first time getting tickets for U2 via the internet.  My best friend & I only waited about an hour or so then ended up on the outside rail on Adam's side).

November 27, 2001:  Elevation Tour - Kansas City, MO at Kemper Arena (Visiting family for Thanksgiving & mother-in-law gave me early Xmas present of GA ticket to the show.  Show was very emotional in that it featured scrolling names of those killed 9/11).

October 20, 2004:  Oregon World Affairs Council - Portland, OR at Schnitzer Hall (Not a concert, but the chance of a lifetime seeing Bono speak about his humanitarian efforts and participate in a q/a.)

April 24, 2005:  Vertigo Tour - Seattle, WA at Key Arena (last time I ever had an official seat for a U2 show--we were above the stage on Edge's side, but pretty high up.  It was a great show, but we agreed that GA was better).

November 22, 2005:  Vertigo Tour - New York, NY at Madison Square Garden (Convinced family it was okay to spend Thanksgiving with friends in NYC so we could go to the show--so worth the grief we got from both sides of the family.  Had a great spot in GA on the floor of the Garden on the rail of the walkway leading from main stage to b stage.  I remember the Garden gave a a bunch of us on the floor a complimentary glass of champagne.  Very cool).

December 19, 2005:  Vertigo Tour - Portland, OR at Rose Garden (Christmastime again & Bono sang a snippet of "Christmas Baby" and I was thrilled to bits).

March 2, 2009:  NLOTH Promo Tour - New York, NY at Ed Sullivan Theater for Late Night With David Letterman (In NY for a wedding, and we knew that U2 was scheduled for the show.  We put in online for any of the tapings.  We got the call from the show days before our flight, and my husband--my hero--correctly answered the question the Letterman staff member asked about the show to guarantee us tickets.  Our seats ended up being 3 rows from the stage on the side where the band performed--AMAZING!).

October 28, 2009:  U2 360 Tour - Vancouver, BC at BC Place (Best friend & I flew to Vancouver, BC and waited outside all day on concert day in the GA line--ended up close to stage on Adam's side again.  The moving walkway went right over us as Bono sang one of my fave songs "The Unforgettable Fire". Fantastic!)

June 4, 2011:  U2 360 Tour - Seattle, WA at Qwest Field (Won the auction for Red Zone tickets--on the inside rail on Edge's side with the husband.  Just tremendous show on a beautiful day & blessed that we were able to afford it).

May 14, 2017:  Joshua Tree 2017 Tour - Seattle, WA at CenturyLink (Was in GA solo as friends all had nosebleeds--I had better spot and better time on outside rail of Red Zone singing and dancing with folks from all over the world.  Plus, we got "Bad" and "I Will Follow"!).

Here's hoping I see many more U2 shows in the future.  Those of you who have seen them all over the world are so very lucky indeed!

I'm 45. I have seen the following 7 shows:

1992 - Pacific Coliseum, Vancouver w/ The Pixies
This was a hard show for me. I was so used to the Rattle & Hum film. I didn't quite get the "new U2" thing . . . yet.
1992 - BC Place Stadium, Vancouver w/ The Sugarcubes and Public Enemy (!)
A rather strange pairing of groups. By this stage I was a full on fan of Achtung Baby and i LOVED this show!
1997 - BC Place Stadium, Vancouver w/ Smashmouth
This is my favorite U2 show. Ironically, I'm still not sure I fully "get" the POP album - but the TOUR was something else!
2001 - GM Place (now know as "Roger's Arena", Vancouver w/ PJ Harvey
Great, high energy show.
2005 - GM Place, Vancouver w/ Kings Of Leon
It's funny, I didn't think too much of KOL. They were good but I thought "They'll never last" . . . about two months after the show I see them on the cover of Rolling Stone, Mojo etc. . . shows what I know!
2009 - BC Place Stadium, Vancouver w/ Black-Eyed Peas
I loved this tour. Bill Gates was apparently at this gig and Bono had the crowd sing "Happy Birthday" to him.
2017 - BC Place Stadium, Vancouver w/ Mumford & Sons
I thought this was a good show but I didn't quite grab the magic for me . . . The setlist has obviously been discussed extensively. I'm happy to have been at this one. Looking forward to the next tour.
