Tomorrow between 9-11 on RTE 2fm, they should have a global stream on their website

Will probably be sleeping at that time, so whoever does listen, let the rest of us know how it sounds.

The new mix was surprising very very good, always a favourite of mine.  Hopefully there have a colliery brass band for some of the gigs.

Were the vocals on the first chorus new? They sounded like the original vocals to me.
I liked the new mix but I'm not yet sure whether in the end which version is going to be my favourite.

Listening right now.

Good, just too bad they couldn't readjust the chorus to 2017 vocals.

Liked it. Similar to the original. Prefer the original, but have been used to it for 30 years.

No news on a video or it being released as an offical single. So unless the new or old version is permitted to be displayed on Youtube, the only audience it will really reach is U2 fans. Who already know about the song.

Listened on phone speakers.

New verses
Old chorus but possibly from a different take?
Like the new guitar and backup vocals, brass was good but maybe a little overwhelming.

I'm going to guess that the live performances will feature the same very high chorus, rather than readjusting it to Bono's current range.  However, I think he will be singing the chorus alongside/over a recording of the studio vocals, or perhaps harmonizing with his own high pre-recorded vocals.  IIRC, he already does that in certain limited situations, like the "whoo-hoo" in Elevation, and the "man paints a picture" chorus of Lemon from the 1993 tour which sounded completely pre-recorded as well.  If they were going to significantly adjust the vocals for the live performances, I think they would have made the adjustment on this version as well.

I like this new version, BTW.  As previously noted, the last 30 seconds are great.

I like it :)

It will be interesting to see how Bono hits the chorus live...can't wait.
