Let me clarify, I detected that Popmart and Elevation were different than the JT '87 key.   But to my ears - albeit at low volume, I thought Vertigo and 360 were the same key as JT87.  Am I crazy?   (Didn't listen to Zoo TV or I+E while doing this)

They play it as well as ever. The reason it has lost its magic since Elevation tour is more beacause of us in the audience got older, spoiled in general with to much live music in general, on Youtube as well. And that is of course the main reason, all the cellphones that are held up for filming. Also, i totally agree with all of Bonos politics, even though it got to much, especially on vertigo tour, but also  360 and IE tour, and in a way took away some of the magic in streets.

They haven't played it with any vigour in years.

And no messing with lyrics and trying to make it topical. Alright Bono?

there is an argument to say the best live version of this song post Popmart was played with 1/4 of u2....

Great performance... Matt's voice suits the song perfectly and Edge harmonizes with him better than Bono could for the past 15 years.

If they can bring me to tears like they did when they played it as the opener to the original JT tour back in '87 at Wembley Stadium, London, I will say "Job Done Boys."

I'm sure that they can't bring you to tears as they did 30 years ago. It is the effect we get by getting older, unfortunately.

Excellent performance, but U2 had a few better ones (after Pop). It is important to keep in mind the each song that Streets connect to (prequels). I do like Bad from Boston, AIWIY from Slane Castle and Amazing Grace from 360 tour performances. When an excellent song connect to Streets, it really brings something special and it is hard to compare Streets versions.

Great reminder- I was there, but had forgotten about this!
It was such an amazing moment, I think there was a rumour that one of the band might show up as a guest at some point during the festival, but it was only when the screen went red that I was thinking, wait, I recognise this...
The audience reaction was the bit that I remember most. Muse were very good, but the crowd just exploded when this came on. I just remember thinking that U2 would be incredible at Glastonbury because the crowd just totally connected and EVERYONE knows those songs.
On TV, I thought they were really good the following year, but it was evident from the moment they came off the stage that they didnt think so. I think they should do it again, because they should be able to have a highlight appearance.

The band are playing this song brilliantly, best version I've heard in years and years.
Best since elevation.

It's fantastic, I even think Edge is playing those opening notes slower which is so far making for a better climax when larry starts on that bass drum!  8)

Super long intro in Seattle. Brilliant visuals. This tune is back to being a great live song again for me.
