Larry on Alice Cooper Album
« on: May 09, 2017, 09:40:17 PM »
This one surprised me......Would have thought Alice Cooper would want to stay as far away from U2 as possible. Larry is a great drummer - but .....Alice Cooper?

Would any U2 fan listen to Alice Cooper just to hear Larry drumming?

Nice! Yes, I'd listen. I like quite a bit of Cooper's work.

I looked up an article about it: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I particularly liked, “I have a world of fans out there, and it took me 45 years to build that fan base. So when I make records now, I’m making them for those people. I’m not trying to break a new audience.”

Not just Alice but Bob Ezrin producing(!).

I expect it will be great on top of the obvious curiosity.

The other curiosity is Larry completely outside of the U2 circle.  No Lanois or other U2 musical associates.

TAKE MY MONEY!

Why would Alice want to stay as far away from U2 as possible?

Wish I'd known about this over the weekend. Got to see Alice Cooper live in far West Texas on Sunday night and he really puts on a good show. I had VIP tickets that allowed me to go backstage for a meet and greet. Would have loved to have asked him about his collaboration with Larry.

I would read the lyrics, just so that i could try and imagine what Larry's drumming might sound like... No, no.. I probably wouldn't.

Went to see him live and it is definitely a fantastic show. Aside from his hits I didn't listen to him much before, but it was still very fun.
