How about when Bono said in front of Congress "We need more Amy Schumers to defeat ISIS"?

what does that even mean? her bad jokes and little mouth are going to save the middle east?

He was making some platitude that humor can defeat Evil.  Maybe Chappelle would work.  Schumer would rev them up for super-jihad

Bono's point seemed to be rooted in his teenage gang years where humor was used to defeat intimidation. It came across wrong but I get his point. I actually like Amy quite a bit. She has talent and she is disrupting stuff.

Then avert your eyes when she pops up on the screen in Ultraviolet.

Not releasing Moment of surrender and The troubles as singles,   and only releasing Soon on 7inch on a very expensive deluxe No line cd.

Bono doesn't have the embarrassment chip in his brain. You all don't know that by now?

- Joshua Tree Tour 2017

I don't see how this is a "jump the shark" moment at all.  Legacy acts have been touring off their old albums for years (Rolling Stones, Springsteen, etc).  The fact that U2 can do it and be one of the most popular tours of the summer just goes to prove that they haven't jumped the shark.  If they had, they would be just an afterthought...but people are flocking to see them.

"The Joshua Tree Tour 2017" replace "The Innocence+Experience tour" because SOE was not ready.
The truth is that U2 are less and less popular because they keep disappointing fans.

I never expected U2 to become like The Rolling Stones.
And if you come to compare U2 to Springsteen, don't forget to say that Springsteen's releasing new music every 18 months.

I'm a U2 fan since 1991 and I'm not nostalgic at all,
I'm not waiting for a new Zoo Tv Tour or new Popmart Tour or whatever,
I'm waiting for NEW MUSIC and NEW TOUR from my favorite band.
